Kañoyetan Txiki will debut at the 2026 tamborrada!!
The Kañoetan society will premiere its new children's drum parade, Kañoetan Txiki, on January 19, 2026, filling the streets of the neighborhood with music and excitement.
The creation of Kañoetan Txiki responds to a need identified in the neighborhood, where other small drum festivals already had very long waiting lists. As Imanol Pérez Pineda, the project's promoter and spokesperson, explains:
“We created it to fill a need in the neighborhood and offer the opportunity to participate to all children without a place.”
- Hours: 6:00 PM to 8:15 PM
- Exit: Company headquarters, 31 de Agosto Street, 30
- Ages: 6 to 14 years
- Participants: Target of 75 girls and boys, although it is hoped to reach up to 105 in its debut year.
- Rehearsals: in December
Furthermore, this premiere coincides with a very special date: the 125th anniversary of the Kañoetan society, a perfect reason to celebrate in style.
The implementation of the tamborrada will require an investment of between 30,000 and 40,000 euros, financed by the community and contributions from collaborators and participants.
With great enthusiasm, excitement, and a festive spirit, Kañoetan Txiki is preparing to experience his first parade through the streets of the Old Town and make history at the San Sebastian Tamborrada. ❤️💙
